OVERVIEW:

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for supporting pre-sales and post-sales solutions in the areas of Desktop Virtualization, Datacenter Virtualization, and/or Virtual Private Cloud technologies. This role is considered a specialty, overlay role within CompuCom Enterprise Solutions and therefore the SA will be expected to not only support the CompuCom Account Executives (AEs) within their local geography but support opportunities with AEs and other SAs as needed in other regions.

Pre-sales responsibilities:
The SA will be responsible for working with the Account Team and other SAs to identify, qualify, and solution virtualization opportunities for both existing and new accounts with CompuCom.
This will include:

  • Gathering customer business and technical requirements for the solution
  • Creating a solution for the customer that satisfies these needs including required hardware, software, and implementation services
  • Working in a team environment with other SAs and AEs to create solution specifications and Bill of Materials
  • Writing and presenting proposals to customers
  • Working with CompuCom partners on customer solutions as well as to maintain/grow our relationships

In addition to the pre-sales customer activities, the SA will also be required to contribute to the development and advancement of CompuCom Enterprise Solutions Virtualization Practice solutions and collateral.
This may include:

  • Identification of new technologies and solutions to be used in our Solution Architectures
  • Creation of practice collateral such as customer presentations, whitepapers, etc
  • Creation of practice documentation such as best practices, implementation plans, and delivery guides

Post-sales responsibilities:
The SA will also be responsible for approximately 50% billable utilization on various Virtualization Solution focused projects.
This may include:

  • Assessments
  • Proof of Concepts
  • Project oversight for developed solutions
  • Implementation tasks for developed solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be knowledgeable of related services, hardware, and solutions
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with sales accounts
  • Minimum of 2 years Consulting, System Engineer, or Sales Engineer experience
  • Will be providing technical support for sales, solution development and delivery, may require travel greater than 25%
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (with 2+ years relevant experience)
  • Citrix XenApp
  • Citrix XenDesktop
  • VMware vSphere
  • VMware View
  • Data Center, server, virtualization, storage and design, configuration, and installation experience a plus
  • Experience selling these solutions and architectures preferred
  • Ability to develop complete end-to-end architectures preferred
  • Ability to implement these solutions and architectures preferred

This contract position is estimated to be 8 months in duration..
