This client is a leading Government department with an opportunity for someone to be responsible for managing the web publishing services for the clients Internet and Intranet.
You will be delivering web publishing services by scheduling publishing tasks, providing technical support to the business, managing additional resources and undertaking complex publishing tasks as necessary. In addition you will ensure that the company websites comply with relevant standards for website accessability and usability. You would need to demonstrate superior levels of customer service by coordinating and facilitating emergency publishing services when required.
The following skills are required for this role:
- Proven experience in the delivery of web publishing services for both Internet and Intranet sites, including implementing web standards
- Proven experience with content management systems, eg: Teamsite or similar
- Strong understanding of Javascript and CSS
- Proven experience with HTML, Flash, streaming video and web publishing software eg: Dreamweaver or Photoshop
- Ability to prioritise and allocate work in a high volume, complex environment
- Well developed understanding of current and future web delivery platforms eg: Web browsers and Flash
- High level oral and written communication skills, including negotiation and client relationship management skills
