Our client is a leading developer of Set top boxes, Modems and other Internet gateway equipment.

For one of their projects (Development of DECT Wireless Protocol Application IP), they are looking
for a Linux Application developer/Embedded Linux Developer.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for software development for the Rogers VIPDECT
product (Voice Over IP DECT). It is an IP connected device which includes voice
services along with a wireless DECT interface to a DECT handset. The candidate will
be tasked todevelop Embedded software for the Rogers product which includes both the
base and handset software. The base includes a DECT software stack, a Linux operating
system, and a voice application. The handset software is a constrained environment
(64KB memory), a Real Time scheduler and a MMI interface.

The candidate will:

*Develop software to the approved Technicolor software development processes.
*Determine functional requirements and prepare supporting design specification documents.
*Design, develop, and test modules and applications that meet or exceed the functional
requirements.
*Participate in Design and Code Reviews.
*Develop and maintain SW work products in accordance with the established SW development
process and the applicable project standards and methodologies.
*Perform testing with technical peers and functional end users to ensure successful launch
of development projects.
*Provide adequate and timely weekly status reporting on assigned tasks.
