Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager - Aviation and Defence.

A leading Aviation, Defence and Engineering organisation are seeking to engage the services of a Commercial Manager for ASAP start contract work in the South West. You will help with the developing and implementation of commercial strategies, policies and practices in line with

Company objectives.
You will leading negotiations on contractual Terms and Conditions with new and existing customers, managing liabilities for the Company, maximising profit opportunities whilst identifying and prosecuting win-win solutions for the company and the customers

Outline:

  • Working as a business partner with the BD team and customers during the preparation of bids and quotations to ensure a speedy response to enquiries likely to lead to contract award
  • Work as a business partner with the Logistics/Supply Chain function to provide commercial and contracts guidance and governance for sub-contracts to ensure suitable terms and conditions are flowed to sub-contractors to protect the company and to meet customer requirements
  • Providing advice to all company departments on the best commercial practices to be adopted to achieve business objectives
  • Settling all liability issues affecting operations as they arise and resolving or facilitating resolution of contractual disputes

  • Has extensive experience of managing commercial and business risk
  • Ensures that people processes, including performance management are followed in their own area of business.
  • Appreciates and manages business risk
  • Creates an environment in which issues are recognised, accepted and resolved
  • Has a high level of gravitas and commands respect
  • Has broad business awareness enabling an appropriate contribution at executive meeting level

An existing SC Clearance would be highly beneficial; to facilitate a swift onboarding. All candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo the clearance process.
