Your focus will be to develop client side component of a major enterprise solution including the convergence of product HMI's and the migration from Java Swing to Adobe Flex. The product is used to manage mining operations for above & below ground and will transform the mining industry as the company is introducing autonomous vehicles starting with haulage trucks. The product utilises J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Flex & Oracle. It is distributed, has complex work flows and has Real Time components.
To be successful in obtaining this role, you will possess the following:
- Proficiency in HMI & usability, Adobe Flex, Java Technologies & software architecture
- Ability to develop software specifications & designs from requirement documents
- Ability to trouble shoot complex software problems
- Ability to trace workflows through software applications and query data stores
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Degree in IT or engineering
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Product development
- GPS, GIS, XML, network or communications
- Mining industry
