Murex Operations Specialist, 12 month rolling contract, Split City/Johannesburg, £700/day + expenses
Murex 3.1, MxML, XSL, XSLT, MQ, Datamart, workflows, F2B processes
Our client is currently looking for a Murex Operations specialist to provide services on an ongoing contract basis. The contract will be 12 months rolling and will be split between the City of London, UK and Johannesburg, SA. Probably alternate months.
The Role:
The principal duties will be to understand and develop solutions for the derivatives business on Murex, for Derivatives processing. The successful applicant will need to be able to cope with steep learning curves to acquire an in depth understanding of new requirements from business. These will be delivered as part of a project to migrate an instance of Murex 2.11 to Murex 3.1.
Key responsibilities will be writing workflows for trades, confirmations and deliverables. Setting up OSP views for workflows. Implementing XML feeds to workflow and payment systems and producing all necessary technical documents.
The Candidate
The candidate will be suitably qualified to conduct this work and should show continuous and relevant experience working on Murex projects.
Skills considered essential for the role:
- Strong exposure and knowledge of Murex (pref 2.11 and 3.1)
- MxML, XSL, XSLT and detailed SQL experience
- Demonstrable experience setting up Murex 3.1 workflows: Trade, Contract, Event, Deliverable and OSP views.
Knowledge of Equities
- Knowledge of trading process and types: capture, events, market operations, impact, confirmation and deliverable workflows
- MQ, MxML and Datamart
- Detailed knowledge of front to back business processes
