Middleware System Engineer - Our client, a leading financial organisation is looking for a Middleware System Engineer to join their team in designing, developing and supporting integration solutions between business applications and operating systems. As Middleware System Engineer, you will be working on the IBM Mainframe platform, as well as UNIX, Windows, Tandem and z/OS.
As Middleware System Engineer your role will consist of installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting Middleware software including CICS, MQ Series etc. on z/OS platform. Your team provides 2nd and 3rd line support to the production services within the organisation.
Middleware System Engineer skills required:
- Extensive experience as a Middleware System Engineer or similar role
- Extensive experience managing CICS and MQ Series as a System Engineer
- Familiar with application integration requirements
- Strong analytical skills, able to recognise underlying issues and problems and able to make a root-cause/impact analysis to define a solution and properly document the conclusion
- Able to work in a structural information organisation with a self learning attitude to learning new tools
- English speaking
