OVERVIEW:
In this position you will be supporting a backup environment with 120 backup Servers that support 2400+ clients globally. This team's primary responsibility is to respond to high and critical incidents, returning systems to normal functioning level. The team is also responsible for the management of the client's remote site tape environment and remote site backup. Team maintains a 24x7 on-call rotation, currently every 5 weeks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Quickly diagnose and correct performance problems on Unix and Windows backup Servers
- Understand and troubleshoot backup issues on NAS devices
- Perform restores in data centers using Data Domain disk backup
- Perform restores using tapeless remote site backup
- Perform restores using tape backup at global remote sights
- Maintain tape rotation, off-site storage of remote sites
