Telecom IT Managed Services CIO

The Managed Services CIO is a top management position at the level of the CIO, responsible for creating strategic plans and running the operations of an IT Managed Services for a Telecom Operator. She/he will contribute in Managed Services sales cycle for large Managed Services deals; communicate and provide guidance to Customers at the CXO level and strategically drive multi-disciplinary large project teams during the deal life cycle from proposal to operation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

- Sets, and manages ICT strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications, and management information for operators
- Supports Managed Services sales and bidding activities, including sales strategy, transformation strategy and solutions, sales presentations, business models, financial models and contract negotiation.
- Accountable for running IT operations effectively and efficiently according to Service Levels and within the projected costs/budgets to generate value to the customer while maximizing profit margin.
- Act as the trusted advisor to Customers in defining strategic plans, security policies, disaster recovery and business continuity plans and any other IT related policies.
- Align IT and business strategy.
- Capture operational and business data to ensure the right IT tools, software, equipment, and telecommunication devices are being used to deliver IT services according to SLAs.
- Lead and direct the design and development of IT transformation projects that improve operational efficiency.
- Interacts with operator's executive management to clearly communicate concepts, business cases and value propositions for IT projects and services.
- Work with the HR manager and staff to recruit and train qualified candidates for different IT jobs in a Managed Service project.

Requirement for candidates:

- 20 years' experience in telecommunication industry
- 10 years' experience in IT service delivery or managed services operation
- Familiar with Telecom Operators frameworks, processes, business and ICT operations
- Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, management skills, and interpersonal skills
- Former CIO of a Telecom operator is preferred
- Willing to travel extensively
