Project Description:

SPD is building IA based platforms for gateways and clients in cable/IPTV service provider market segments and enabling Independent Software Vendor (ISV) applications on Intel's platforms. Working closely with the service provider and OEM customers and software engineers from the ISV to help them design, port and integrate their applications on top of Intel's SW/HW platforms. Engaged with internal core software and hardware groups to ensure Intel solution meets customer requirements.

Daily Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

. Identifying and debugging video/audio/graphics integration issues with drivers and the rest of the software stacks
. Creating and performing high level acceptance testing on software releases from service providers, OEMs and ISVs.
. Setting up software development environments like installing/rebuilding SDKs from ISVs on top of Intel software stack.
. Work with hardware reference platforms, AV streamers, and test equipment.
. Documentation including release notes, customer communications, design collaterals.

Necessary Skills (Must Have):

. Linux, C/C++
. Preferably familiar with STB hardware and software
. Knowledge of audio/video codecs like H.264, AC3 etc.
. Ability to use debug and profiling tools
. Ability to work in a fast-paced, and interruption-driven environment
. Need someone who can look at code, understand it, and possibly modify/enhance it

Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):

. Knowledge of DirectFB, OpenGL, PCie, Security
. Experience with transcoding and/or 3D Video a plus
. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
