Description
This Dallas-based industry leader has an immediate 12+ month contract opening for a Senior Security Engineer. Will provide technical security support to developers, testers, system operators, system administrators, engineers, and analysts. Will document and provide guidelines for security design and implementations of applications, systems, and network installations. Will work to resolve security vulnerabilities and providing technical instruction on vulnerability resolution. Will participate in an on-call rotation. Will require some travel.
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience with at least 3 of technical areas: UNIX, Linux and Windows Security, TCP/IP, cryptography, data security, database security, network security, certificate and key management.
Experience performing and overseeing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (Prefer experience with SourceFire IDS or Nessus Vulnerability Assessment products).
Experienced with security tools (IDS/IPS, ssh, port and vulnerability scanners, wireless vulnerability scanners, SIEM
and Firewalls).
Experience working on regulatory compliance projects (Sarbanes Oxley, Visa CISP/PCI, HIPAA).
understanding of web application security (OWASP) and code review and static analysis.
Experience performing patch management for security.
Experience with Scripting (UNIX, Windows).
Prefer certifications in Information security (CISSP, GSEC, etc.).
Prefer Mainframe/RACF experience, computer forensics.
Prefer: Incident Response Planning and Incident handling, scoring and baseline definition of system/applications, risk assessment, threat & exploit analysis, and identity and access management.
