Real pride. Real advantage.A 12 month Fixed term contract has arisen within Electronic Systems for a Finance Assistant.
Reporting to the finance supervisor, the successful candidate will work across the Financial Accounting and Management Accounting team covering a wide range of finance duties. This role is based in Rochester.
As a Finance Assistant your main responsibilities will involve:
Support completion of monthly VAT return
General Ledger account reconciliations
Monthly journals and support to period close activities
Intercompany agreements and reconciliation
Purchasing Card admin, interface and reconciliation
Bank account reconciliations
Supplier account reconciliations
Supporting the Financial Controller or other team members with day to day administration and tasks
As a Finance Assistant your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Good IT skills, including Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel.
Knowledge of financial systems. Knowledge of Oracle would be a distinct advantage.
Ideally AAT qualified/studier
Finance background is essential.

Due to the nature of this role you, will need to have excellent team skills. You will need to have excellent communications skills both written and verbally. It is essential that you have proven experience of working to tight deadlines and prioritising work loads.
