Description
We are currently searching for a Cobol Developer on z/OS to work in The Hague (NL) until the end of 2012 plus extensions. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large multi-national client.
The type of maintenance is varying and comprises:
1. Immediate fixing of production problems.
2. Incorporation of small technical and functional changes.
3. The system changes could follow from legal changes.
4. Functional changes that follow from so called IT Roadmap projects. These are improvement projects which could influence the systems mentioned here.
The tasks are:
1. Programming in Cobol on z/OS.
2. Technical and functional testing.
3. Deployment of the systems in subsequent environments.
4. Updating technical and functional documentation.
5. Writing so called Change Requests.
6. Alignment with the Problem Management and Change Management in case of (emergency) changes.
7. Inform users on deployment of changes.
Experience
In order to be able to do the above mentioned work a very experienced Cobol
developer (at least 10 years) on the IBM's zOS system is required.
The service should be executed by someone with a good knowledge of English and Dutch. Good command of German and French are pre.
This role is for 2 days a week. The two days are Monday and Friday, because on these days important batch programs run that might need immediate bug fixes. Next to the 2 days per you will cover the holiday absence of the current employee.
