Senior Licensing Adviser

6 Month Contract

My client is a large, highly reputable organisation in London and has an exciting interim contract requirement for a period of 6 months.

The Senior Licensing Adviser will be responsible for helping my client to ensure they can successfully fulfil new licensing duties according to recent and upcoming instruction.

Licence conditions are being developed in close cooperation with the other policy team members and with the clients legal advisors. In the addition to the licence conditions, the Senior Licensing Advisor will help deliver the products required to support the broader licensing regime.

The Senior Licensing Adviser will support and act as deputy to the Licensing Workstream Lead in terms of developing and reviewing the required products and critically engaging with managing stakeholders.

Deliverable tasks include:

- Providing oversight in relation for the further development of licence conditions

- Providing oversight in relation to the detailed development of the regime supporting the clients licence.

- Working closely with other members of the licensing team to ensure consistency between conditions of the licence and the broader licensing regime.

- Providing management and oversight of any external consultancy work packages in those areas.

To be considered for this assignment, candidates should hold the following:

A strong degree in economics or related experience

Knowledge of or experience in sector regulation (possibly working in an economic regulator, competition authority, regulated industry or economic consultancy).

Analytical skills, including the ability to conduct and review high-quality economic analysis.

Excellent communication skills

Management skills, including a strength in prioritisation across a diverse portfolio of projects

Good understanding of economics of regulated industries

Interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills, including engaging with and managing stakeholders at senior level
