Description

*High Visibility Software Brand seeks Usability Research Assistant*

The Hardware User Research Team plays a significant role in running the betas for our client's hardware programs on mouse, keyboards, etc. In fact, this team's responsibility is increasing, creating the need for a Junior Researcher who would be interested in getting real world experience on a research team to assist our full time researchers and more experienced vendors in executing betas. The person also needs to be able to commit to a 6 month minimum, 40 hours/week, M-F.

This role will be assisting the existing staff with execution of the betas, including keying in survey questions, analysing a lot of data every week, filing a lot of bugs in Product Studio and doing follow up visits to help track down the potential UX issues with the product. This is a great opportunity for someone to get their hand in and get some experience in user research. There will be ample opportunity to assistant other research studies like field work, and usability studies.

Key attributes of research assistant:
  • Good handle of statistical methods
  • Loves data and working with data!
  • Organized, detail oriented
  • Background in HCI, or some other user research field
  • Ability to communicate well with others
  • Doesn't mind taking direction from other UR vendors
  • Some coding background ideal
  • Can-do! attitude and willingness to get work done
