Large Global Data Services Company based in Dallas/Fort Worth is seeking a NetApp Storage Admin for a 9 month contract role on their large infrastructure team.  This employer has many large Fortune 500 clients spread across the globe and each client requires a specialized service offering back from this company.  In this case, the client has a large NetApp Storage environment, so there is a strong need to find a Systems Administrator with a vast amount of NetApp Storage experience to support, maintain, and update that NetApp environment for the client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively administer and manage the Midrange Storage Management resources in a team environment.
  • Assume ownership of the midrange storage environment; plan and coordinate storage related activities with customers, internal company personnel and vendors; and assure maximum data availability and reliability.
  •  Direct storage automation and reporting activities. Provide team leadership and function as an effective technical reference.

SKILLS:

  • 5 - 7 years working experience in midrange storage management and SAN infrastructure.
  • In-depth working knowledge of midrange storage hardware and management software.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred that candidates have knowledge of Hitachi USP-V and AMS arrays a must; NetApp, EMC, IBM and HP storage arrays desirable.
  • Should also have 5 years experience in SAN Management and FC Switch configuration in a Wintel, UNIX and Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of MDS Cisco 9513 series FC Directors and Hitachi hardware and software is a definite plus.
