Automotive Industry leader is seeking aData Warehouse Engineer!
The Datawarehouse Engineer is responsible for development, maintenance, and extension of our company's ETL (Informatica) & Datawarehouse Administration Console (DAC) efforts around the Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) platform in support of business needs in Finance, Projects, Procure and Spend. The Datawarehouse Engineer collaborates with our company's BI Architect & Oracle EBS team in supporting & maintaining Oracle BI related applications.
The Datawarehouse Engineer works with our company's Enterprise Architecture/Infrastructure team to perform hands-on technical configuration to manage and maintain integrations to Oracle EBS & non-oracle source data.
The Datawarehouse Engineer will work with the business process owners to understand and prioritize the demand for process and solution change toward optimizing value to the business and efficiency in BI delivery.
The successful Datawarehouse Engineer must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the BI Architect/BI Team and the business community to define information use cases and approaches for supporting them with Oracle BI Analytics dashboards & reports.
Help maintain and extend our company's Informatica platform, including hands-on technical development of mapplets, workflows, and processes that seed the Oracle Analytic Business Warehouse and other Repositories.
Help maintain and extend our company's DAC platform, including hands-on technical development of execution plans/processes that seed the Oracle Analytic Business Warehouse.
Work closely with BI Architects & development team to estimate levels of effort for platform changes and work with the business community to set priorities.
Help prepare requirements documents, functional and technical designs, test scenarios, deployment plans related to ETL/Informatica/DAC.
Help BI team perform gap analysis as related to ETL processes that populate reporting and analytics requirements.
Participate in day-to-day support as well as future-state design with BI team.
Help identify architectural issues and propose alternative solutions.
Develop code, test plans, expected results, and test data at a program level.
Perform system analysis and identify solutions to technical problems.
Prepare and maintain documentation to support computer operations, related manual procedures, and technical references.
Provide input to project estimates and work plans.
Mentor other team members.
Follow SDLC processes and standards.
Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in designing, deploying & maintaining ETL/BI solutions, with at least 4 years on the OBIEE 11g/10g platform, Oracle BI Applications, ETL Informatica & DAC (Datawarehouse Administration Console).
Demonstrated hands-on experience with ETL - Informatica v9.0.1 and DAC, RPD, Webcatalog/OBIEE 11g platform in an UNIX environment (Linux).
Hands-on experience in extending/customizing Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse (OBAW).
Hands on experience in Oracle BI Apps v 7.9.6.3.
Heavy experience ETL coding and database design utilizing Informatica in an Oracle environment.
Experience in application design and implementation, distributed architecture and concepts, data manipulation and analysis using PL/SQL and SQL.
Minimum 3 years of experience in ETL architecture, data modelling, and data integration.
Possess strong architectural leadership skills, and have a demonstrated ability to produce results.
Experience with MDM or data quality projects and processes a plus.
Exposure to Oracle EBS data model is preferred.
Exposure to Oracle EBS functionality of Finance, Projects, and Procurement is preferred.
Clear and effective writing and documenting skills.
Willing to listen to and collaborate with business owners/users, have a driving passion for innovative solutions and can deliver practical, sustainable results.
Experience with relevant software preferred, including Microsoft Office applications, MS Project, Visio, and MS PowerPoint.
