Years of Experience & Expertise Level:
BS in computer science or equivalent, minimum 2 years work experience in the server, storage and enterprise data center space.
Project Description:
-Support lab set up for End-user Reference Architecture development and proof-of-concept (POC) implementation with company's server, network, and storage technologies.
Daily Responsibilities:
-Server H/W and OS installation and configuration in a lab environment. ISV system and application software installation and configuration. Network and storage equipment installation. Data center infrastructure set up. Test plan execution per test scripts. Test data collection, result compilation and documentation.
Necessary Skills (Must Have):
1. Proficient knowledge and work experience of Windows and Linux operating systems for Servers.
2. Experience with both Linux and Windows server storage and network set up.
3. Hands on experience in platform builds such as H/W set up, OS images builds, BIOS and/or firmware configurations, and ISV application software installation and setup.
4. Proven troubleshooting skills for system HW/SW problems on Intel platforms and in the Windows/Linux Client Server environment.
5. Good verbal and written communication skill; willingly and proactive documentation of set up procedures, and work status communication.
Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
1. Experience with enterprise data center operations.
2. Experience with enterprise IT applications and Data Center infrastructure implementations
3. Industrial networking and storage solution implementations such as 10Gbe and SSD.
