Job Summary

Identifies and communicates problems and recommends constructive solutions and actions. Additional leadership responsibilities may be required depending upon the experience of the individual. Additional responsibilities may include developing or assisting in developing work plans and estimates for information systems projects, ensuring adherence to standards relative to the technical aspects of assigned projects. Areas of technical guidance may include, but are not limited to, current operating standards, development methodologies, documentation standards, programming languages, user interfaces, event modelling, estimating work effort, and adherence to work plans. Researches, analyzes, and documents selected elements of assigned information systems projects at a level that is appropriate based on skills of individual. Designs, tests, and codes computer programs and prepares them for complete operational status. Aids in the preparation of user procedures and conducts training and implementation sessions. Prepares test data, schedules, and conversion procedures, and tests the operation of computer systems. Evaluates and estimates requested program modifications. Reports status and progress of assigned projects to management.

Travel will be required to various manufacturing sites: Wisconsin, Kansas City and York. Works with multiple internal client teams and with external suppliers

Qualifications
Strong communication skills required. Ability to work with business stakeholders to analyze problems and find root cause. Ability to distinguish between process related and technical issues and take appropriate action to resolve. some background in Java programming is needed.

Some one with a broad base of skills in business analysis, WebSphere, SQL, web development. Willing to learn the TimeLink system and the business logic in the system. Experience troubleshooting multiple critical items at the same time. Must be able to communicate clearly and be understood by a broad base of workers (plant supervisors, subject matter experts, business process owners, plant managers). Business stakeholders are at multiple plans across the US; utilizing the phone and online meetings for communications will be a standard part of the work. A successful candidate will also be able to lead a small group of people, work with the software supplier to open cases/resolve issues, and work with other technical resources in IS (ie, DBA, WebSphere Administrators). The candidate should be able to manage the list of requests, prioritize the requests/issues with business stakeholders across multiple sites, and schedule/perform implementations of bundled fixes. Implementations typically occur during the evenings and weekends. What we have typically been seeing is hard core Java developers without good customer service experiences
