Description
OVERVIEW: This position is for an iSeries Level 3 Engineer.
Responsibilities/requirements include:
- Utilize the incident management process to submit and most importantly resolve incident tickets that are escalated by Level 1 and Level 2 Support
- Tickets may be associated with user requests, hardware problems, operating system problems, performance and capacity issues and problems with a variety of third-party products
- Ability to utilize the change management process to initiate and implement Requests for Change (RFC)
- Ability to update documentation to reflect changes in processes or hardware/software environment
- Verify/Create HMC profiles, user IDs, etc.
- Provide on-call support
- Experience with using HP Service Center
- Experience in the software installation and upgrade process
2 - 5 years of experience with the following products:
- iSeries V5R4, V6R1
- ROBOT Suite: Console R5, Alert R5, Network Host R10, Network Node R10, Schedule R10
- BRMS V5R4, V6R1
- MIMIX v7
- TAATOOLS V5R4
- NetIQ V8.1.0
