This Leading Australian Financial Services Company is seeking a SAP Security Designer to join their team in a permanent capacity.

If you are successful your responsibilities will include:
  • Undertaking security design for the technology component of solutions, including the identification of opportunities for re-use across multiple projects and initiatives and from previous solution designs.
  • Provide technical consulting and advice to projects during the analysis, design and build phases of projects, such that the solution designs being deployed are aligned to IT security architectures.
  • Promote architecture principles, patterns, standards and guidelines across projects and programmes.
  • Provide feedback on the efficiency and effectiveness of the target solution architecture, including any comments that impact or change its security aspects.
  • Ability to understand security requirements from standards and policies and translate these into easily deployable solution requirements.
  • Ability to analyse and determine gaps in architecture and design that would be in non-compliance of security policies and standards or would be vulnerable to fraud.
  • Advise on approach to solution design and recommend alternative approaches where required.
  • Participate in thought leadership activities and attend industry events, where required.
  • Contribute to the development of design standards, and reusable deployment patterns.
  • Work within a team environment and across business units to complete associated tasks

To be considered for this role you will have the following:

  • Previous experience in a Security Designer Role
  • Previous exposure to SAP is highly advantageous
  • Previous experience in a large enterprise environment
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to drive and influence, whilst building, maintaining and improving, business and IT relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Great Analysis skills and be highly motivated.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in IT governance, including industry frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT and relevant Australian and international standards (eg AS/NZS 4360, NIST Risk Management, ISO 27001/ISO27002 OWASP) are highly advantageous.
  • Thought leadership and thorough understanding of current and emerging IT technologies, relevant IT solutions, and limitations of such solutions. This requires a deep and comprehensive understanding of IT network and/or protocols and standards, commercial (and open source) IT security products and services and best practice.
  • Knowledge and experience in the following technologies: Unix and Windows networks and security, SOA Security: WS Security Standards, Microsoft Security Technologies: Active Directory, SPNEGO, Group Policies etc, Encryption Technologies: Cryptography, Hashing, Digital Certificates, SSL, Database Security, Firewalls, VLAN security, Identity and access management systems: Tivoli Identity and Access Manager, PassLogix
