Enterprise Architect - 3 month contract - Stockley -Market Rates
My client a leading FTSE 100 energy company with offices in Stockley Park is looking to recruit an Enterprise Architect on an initial 3 month contract. The successful candidate will be expected to have extensive experience in Data Centre Infrastructure including Servers, Storage, networking and security.
The role
- The Enterprise Infrastructure Architect is a professional with knowledge and experience in the infrastructure architecture domain, and will hold design authority responsibilities as required. As such, the Enterprise Infrastructure Architect provides thought leadership, strategy, governance, and troubleshooting for the infrastructure architecture footprint, ensuring that the architecture can be pragmatically implemented within the existing constraints.
- The Enterprise Infrastructure Architect will also support the continued definition of the blueprints (strategy, vision and roadmap) & standards for future development of the infrastructure landscape, taking into account current and future enterprise business needs, the service strategy and newly available technologies.
- The Enterprise Infrastructure Architect contributes to the enterprise service strategy, takes a leading role in the design of the services (capacity, availability and service level to meet current and forecast needs in a cost effective manner), and oversees its transition to operations.
Essential Skills
Key skills and experience required in this case will include the following:
- Data Centre Infrastructure including Servers, Storage, Networking, Security
- Data Centre Operations including standard ITIL processes and supporting toolsets
- Architecture governance processes and the shaping & implementation of Technical Design Authority structures and processes to support the ongoing management of technology standards
- Infrastructure standards development and application
- Data Centre infrastructure requirements definition to support the procurement of equipment for renewal, refresh and deployment of new strategic platforms
