Cloud Infrastructure Architect - 6 month contract - Stockley

My client a leading FTSE 100 energy company with offices in Stockley is looking to recruit a Cloud Infrastructure Architect on an initial 3 month contract. The role requires a strong technology and infrastructure architect with a broad strategic view that is combined with a pragmatic and delivery focused mindset, to support the identification and selection of a strategic infrastructure cloud supplier to meet future web hosting demands.

The Role
This individual will need broad and deep skills in infrastructure cloud with knowledge of market providers and offerings along with a demonstrated understanding of key integration needs across technology, operations, tooling, process and security along with a detailed understanding and experience of the commercial, legal and financial considerations required in the selection of a strategic supplier.

Essential Skills
This individual be responsible for a number of key activities including:
- Supporting the RFI & RFP project manager in shaping and agreeing the workplan with leadership for the next 3 months
- Capturing, developing, reviewing and securing agreement on the infrastructure cloud requirements for a strategic web hosting service to include confirmation of GOI's security and operability needs
- Confirming technology integration options and driving out a preferred solution for future integration
- Capturing service management integration requirements, and developing the options for the service model to secure buy-in to a preferred model
- Developing the technical content required for an RFI and an RFP and leading the technical review of responses received
- Supporting commercial, legal and financial reviews of vendor offers to ensure service level requirements can be met by the selected vendors
- Assisting in developing options and recommendations for the final selection of a preferred vendor or vendors
- Supporting the development of work plans to cover the enablement of the services selected from the chosen vendor, the technical integration and the operational acceptance
- Supporting the PM in the development of technology & resource costs and timescales for the mobilisation of the service.
