Work from home one day per week! Alpharetta based organization seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer for their growing organization. This is a six month contract-to-permanent position. If you love to work with a lot of different technologies, jumping in to learn new things and figure things out - then this is the position for you!
You must be self-motivated, work well with a team and feel comfortable handling/driving various projects (Unix migration, SAN upgrade, AD rollout, VMware installation, etc.). Your primary responsibilities will be to provide support and direction for the Unix and Windows systems and provide planning, design and architecture for enterprise solutions. Must have experience with high availability systems and be able to implement Windows hardware and software while establishing policies, obtaining licenses and implementing standards. You will manage your own projects from conception to completion including project timelines, internal/external resources and budgetary guidelines. Support is required on a 24x7x365 basis. Must be very comfortable in a 200+ server environment and have strong Windows Systems expertise. You do not need in-depth UNIX experience but must be comfortable administering Linux Servers. Must have in-depth knowledge of Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Security, Group Policy management, Group administration, Site management and data center power management.
