Description
This nationwide industry leader has an immediate 8-12+ month contract opening in North Dallas for an MVS Systems Programmer.
This position requires:
- 10+ years of MVS experience - Strong MVS Systems programming, systems, applications, tuning, and automation experience.
- 10+ years of ISPF Dialog Manager experience.
- 10+ years REXX experience.
- 15+ years JCL experience.
- 10+ years VSAM experience.
- 15+ years with MVS Utilities - IDCAMS, RACF, DFSDSS, SORT, ICETOOL, CA-7, etc.
- Problem solving skills.
- 10+ years File-Aid, PDSMAN Utilities.
- 3+ years NDM experience.
- 5+ years CICS experience.
- 5+ years DB2 experience.
- 5+ years IMS experience.
Will be responsible for:
- Extracting and defining user requirements.
- Designing new processes where required.
- Modifying existing processes.
- Coding applications and tools from inception to implementation.
- Providing optimum efficiency enhancements to existing tools.
- Performing comprehensive testing before implementation.
- Available on-call for break-fix situations.
- Practicing good stewardship regarding source code.
- Client will not accept subcontractors
