My Client, A leading Corporate Bank, is looking for a Senior Regulatory Accountant/Analyst to sit in the Capital Supply team, which is a key element of the Regulatory Reporting team within the bank's Financial Control. It manages the capital adequacy and large exposures reporting process as well as balance sheet and income statement to the FSA.

Complete Description:
Key stakeholders within this role include other functions such as Treasury, Risk and Financial Reporting as well as business financial and regulatory teams.
* Key output is to Basel III compliant capital components of the group prudential returns for the FSA/EBA, monitoring compliance with prudential requirements and limits. To facilitate the best use of capital capacity by sharing knowledge with other parts of the Bank.
* The successful applicant will bring experience of working in a FSA regulatory reporting team with a track record demonstrating understanding of the regulatory concepts

Some key aspects of the role include:
Assist with co-ordinating resources from other areas of the Bank, planning and managing the timetable of data collection, consolidation and review to ensure that FSA/EBA deadlines are met - failure to comply would result in a public fine with consequent reputational damage.
Produce Regulatory returns (focusing on Capital Reporting under Basel II and Basel III) together with supporting analytical material as agreed. There is a strong focus on quality and a need to work to tight deadlines.
Review and challenge data, generate and follow up on queries.
Support the testing of data from the different source feeds that are currently being developed to cover the new rules. Liaise with data providers to resolve data quality issues
Produce supporting schedules to facilitate the management review process
Provide assistance to businesses with systems issues and change requests for all relevant aspects of Hyperion.
Maintain and develop models that generate the Returns. This will include ensuring that group policy on model risk and use of large complex spreadsheets are followed.
Change processes as Business and Supervisory requirements evolve, maintain process maps and procedures manual in accordance with Controls/Compliance requirements.
Maintain relevant documentation for Sarbanes Oxley process.

Managing the production of reports to strict deadlines
Confident & Good communicator who can articulate their messages effectively
Experience of delivering process efficiency
Maintaining absolute levels of honesty and integrity
Have had some exposure to Senior Management
Qualified accountant
Broad knowledge of banking business and products.
