JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and enhancing international and domestic E-commerce websites through various languages and providing technical leadership to the required client and team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and enhance multiple high-volume international E-commerce web sites using technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, XML, and others as required with limited supervision
- Design and develop solutions that can include provision or consumption of web services and various other API calls to external and third-party systems and vendors
- Optimizes web sites, pages, service calls to achieve maximum performance
- Coordinate with other departments on development needs for software integration needs
- Participate in defining and implementing technical direction for projects
- Must possess a strong desire to learn new technologies and concepts and to grow as a developer
- Must be able to effectively manage time across multiple projects and priorities
- Must possess expertise with HTML and CSS, with cross-browser and cross platform compatibility
- Must be able to work with and organise large volumes of content
- Must be able to contribute to projects from start to finish
- Must possess excellent organisation and time management skills
- Must possess excellent communication skills and be able and willing to effectively communicate with all users having little or no technical knowledge
- Must possess a strong understanding of designing, developing and calling web services and other forms of external API call
- Must possess a strong understanding of software development process concepts
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in web development
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of proven experience with client-side and Server Side Javascript, JQuery, and AJAX technologies
- Must have a strong understanding of and proven experience working with complex n-tier architectures
- Must have proven experience optimizing complex web applications to achieve maximum performance
- Must have proven experience with version control, specific experience with subversion is a plus
- Experience with complex, high-volume eCommerce solutions is strongly preferred
- Experience with client-side and Server Side Javascript, JQuery, and Ajax, strongly preferred
- Prior development experience with ASP.NET, PHP, Coldfusion, or similar technologies is a plus
- Any proven experience developing and supporting high-volume E-commerce sites is strongly preferred
