The candidate in this position will be a dedicated onsite resource at a customer location, providing desktop support services and touch services for network, Servers and telecom. She/He must be a seasoned professional who can work independently with minimal supervision.
OVERVIEW:- Performs remedial repair and preventive maintenance
- Performs hardware installation, de-installation, moves, adds and changes, regularly lifts up to 50 lbs
- Provides user data and application recovery
- Customizes desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards
- Minimizes system/hardware downtime and ensures customer satisfaction
- Arranges for and/or prepares equipment for shipping/receiving, and handles customer pick-ups for equipment and supplies
- Uses diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, and Workstation hardware/software
- Uses tools and methodologies to load, copy and customize operating system configurations
- Familiarizes end users on basic software, hardware and peripheral device operation
- Supports and travels between two or more customer locations as the job may require
- Effectively contributes in an infrastructure support environment where there could be high pressure situations as in the case of high severity incidents
- A+ certification, OEM certification for warranty supported products
- At least one vendor software certification (eg MCP, CLS)
- 3+ years supporting Enterprise environment
- Microsoft Windows, Office suite, IE and browser based apps, Blackberry and iPhone support
- Ability to work responsibly and professionally with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information, verbally and in writing, to non-technical audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical team members
- Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems
