One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Solaris & Linux Senior system engineer/Architect for an initial 6 months contract (+ext) based in Brussels. The rates are currently negotiable.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
- Fluent French or Dutch is compulsory
- Proven re-platform experience from Solaris to Linux.
- Proven experience working on a UNIX SOLARIS platform.
- Proven experience with Red Hat Linux.
- Experience with Shell Scripting.
Nice to have Skills and Experience:
- Experience with clustering (Veritas).
- Experience with NFS.
- Practical experience with Kerberos
- Practical experience with LDAP databases.
- Experience with SUDO.
- Perl Scripting.
Duties:
Work on the migration of applications from Solaris to Linux
be the right arm of the project leader to determine the migration strategy of our application portfolio currently running on Solaris
