Competencies
Incident and Problem Management, Live environment support of Middleware components
Knowledge of impact and experience of implementation of Middleware monitoring techniques
Ability to understand, implement and influence security concepts and solutions of Middleware components
Ability to understand and influence high level technical design of Middleware components
Software maintenance and patching
Experience of working in a change delivery and/or 2nd/3rd line Middleware support environment
Analytical ability including root cause identification and pro-active service improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven team worker/team player
Technical Skills
The Middleware teams provide support and change delivery across a range of platforms & components.
Knowledge about following infrastructure platforms is required:
UNIX (primarily AIX v 5.1 and above, z-Linux and x-Linux) with Shell Scripting skills and basic administrative skills
Windows with Scripting skills and basic administrative skills
For WMQ experienced person, skills in the following are required:
Good knowledge on MQ Administration including but not limited to
o MQ infrastructure Components,
o Distributed Queuing/Client Connectivity
o Clustering
o WMQ Security Setup (SSL, OAM)
o Troubleshooting
For WMB experienced person, skills in the following are required:
Good knowledge on MB Administration including but not limited to
o Broker Infrastructure components
o Broker administration
o Flow deployment
o Security Setup
o troubleshooting
Skills in the following will be advantageous
WMB development, Toolkit, ESQL coding
z-OS basics
