Experience:
A proven knowledge and recent experience within the following areas is essential:
Design and implementation of complex Storage Area Networking Infrastructure inc Metro and WAN solutions for both datacentre and on customer premise or a combination of both
Good understanding of SAN/NAS environments, iSCSI/CIFS/FC/Object Storage and NFS, configuration including troubleshooting knowledge
Experience of converged fibre channel over Ethernet storage infrastructure
Experience of deploying storage infrastructure as part of Cloud based technology solutions both virtual and physical
Experience of mirroring, replication, multi-pathing, clustering and recovery technologies including
o Powerpath
o MirrorView
o VPlex
o Recover Point
o Snap Manager
o Snap View
o TimeFinder
o Replication Manager
o Celerra Replicator
Knowledge of storage tiering and various RAID configurations including zoning as well as volume and LUN management
Experience of deploying FAST and other dynamic tiering solutions
Experience of cross vendor storage migration in both customer and service provider scenarios
Experience of associated connectivity (IP/fibre channel etc) to underpin storage solutions offering both synchronous and asynchronous replication
Experience of all levels of vendor products/offerings including
o EMC Clariion
o EMC VNX
o EMC VMAX
o NetApp V-Series
o NetApp FAS
o HP MSA
o IBM N-Series

o EMC DataDomain
Experience of interfacing storage with OS/Hypervisor/Apps (DB) and associated optimisation to meet solution requirements
Experience of OS/App level clustering
Experience of implementation and support of backup technologies in both physical and virtual environment, including Veritas Netbackup, Veeam, EMC Networker, Backup exec CommVault etc
Exposure to image level backup for both DR and replication at a hypervisor level (Vmotion etc)
Experience of hypervisors
Experience of Scripting and storage automation
Experience of performance tuning and disk optimisation technologies/applications
Experience of SAN networking implementation including structure cabling and fibre patching
Knowledge of dual factor authentication
Experience of automation/orchestration of Storage infrastructure on a local country and Pan-European scale
Knowledge of monitoring and management systems inc metrics such as EMC ECC, NetApp, Hobbit/Nagios (Opensource), Zenoss, IPSoft
Desirable knowledge and experience:
Experience of VDI technologies
Knowledge of both Linux and Windows OS (inc AD)
Knowledge of both load balancing and Firewall technologies including
o Checkpoint
o ACE
o F5 Big IP LTM/GTM
o Cisco FWSM
