Description
A key client based in Kent is looking for two Mechanical Fitters. This will be for an initial 12 weeks.
The role involves the assembly of bespoke machined and fabricated components to drawing specifications, including the manufacture of items required to assist in the assembly of these items.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is able to work well within a team as well as unaided.
The technician will be required to Inspect, support, modify, assemble, maintain and repair all mechanical aspects of our equipment, including rapid fault finding, evaluation and diagnosing of
problems that occur in an accurate and timely manner.
Understand and produce high quality products from mechanical drawings provided.
Maintain and keep in good order department tools including power tools.
Skills:
1. At least 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Engineering environment
2. Ability to read and understand mechanical layout and engineering drawings
3. Ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical faults and willingness to undertake repair work
4. Aware of machine shop and fabrication techniques
5. Ability to weld using MIG, TIG would be advantageous
6. Ability to operate Fork Lift and Scissor Lift would be advantageous
