Telecom Project Manager needed on site in Atlanta or Birmingham.
The creation of a 22-state, standard, Hicap Provisioning tool (HiPro) will allow us to reduce work content through increased mechanization of the design & provisioning process. It will allow us to reduce provisioning intervals, thereby increasing revenue and customer satisfaction. It will allow us to improve inventory database accuracy and reduce or eliminate regional variances in process, practice and systems thereby improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
While the initial project will focus on DS1/DS3 services, the planned architecture of the HiPro application will be predominantly table-driven which will provide the foundation/flexibility for future automation & flow-through of fiber-based services such as Ethernet, OC3, UVN, etc., as spare capacity/fiber inventories are standardized within and across the regions. In addition, HiPro will allow us to retire a number of regional systems such as DPRO, HIHO, AMOS, Galaxy, Net Apps, BRMS and possibly others, eliminating both IT hardware/infrastructure costs as well as on-going IT/vendor support costs. HiPro will also eliminate future IT costs related to system changes for new technologies and services which, currently, must follow the lengthy, PMATT process, be coded, tested, etc. These types of changes will now be easily and quickly accomplished through administrator table changes Field user groups such as the Digital Provisioning Center (DPC) and/or Customer Service Design Center (CSDC) will benefit by the reduction of training and operational costs associated with using multiple systems/processes across the company to design, provision & inventory HiCap services.
Skill Experience Need
- Program/project Management Expert Required.
- OSP Engineering Intermediate Required.
- Knowledge of DS1, DS3, OC3, UVN, & MetroEthernet Intermediate Required.
- Knowledge of LFACS, TIRKS, Liem, LEIS, Planet, Gra Intermediate Required.
- Copper & Fiber network design & technologies Intermediate Required.
- Knowledge of Process Center, PMATT and ReqPro Intermediate Desired.
