For this contract position with the leading online travel services company, we are looking for a highly talented Senior SharePoint Software Developer to join the Collaboration Tools Team. This team delivers Global solutions to all of the client's internal employees and business teams.
In this role, you will be working very closely with other developers, architects, program managers, and business customers to design and implement custom solutions through SharePoint, ASP.NET/C#, and SQL platforms. We are looking for a highly energetic and experienced SharePoint Developer who is excited about working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment. This is a small, close-knit team that really enjoys producing high quality products, while having a fun time doing so.
OVERVIEW:
- Work with a team of developers to design, develop, and implement powerful, highly scalable, and reliable applications in a very faced-paced environment.
- Interact with Program Managers to contribute to and review functional specifications and test cases.
- Maintain and improve Legacy applications (ranging from ASP.NET/C# and SharePoint 2007).
- Work with team to implement SharePoint 2010: out-of-the-box configuration and deployment of SharePoint custom lists, document types and folders, workflow, views, etc.
- Integration of SharePoint with other Microsoft and related platforms or services.
- Contribute to advancing the team's design methodology and quality programming practices.
- Assist in supporting other collaboration team systems (ie Confluence).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years relevant industry experience in Object Oriented programming, and Client Server architectures expertise in ASP.NET, C# and SQL
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, Windows Server, IIS
- Extensive development experience with SharePoint such as SPS 2010, SPS 2007, Windows SharePoint Services, SharePoint Web Part Development
- Experience with user interface development using HTML, CSS; modification of masterpages, page layouts and custom content types
- Experience designing web services, customizing InfoPath or WEB enabled forms
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong experience with Agile/SCRUM development
- Proven track record of delivering products quickly, within a team environment
- BS or MS, in Computer Science or a related engineering field
