Project Name: EMS Deployment

Project Description:

  • Design, engineer, and implement Ericsson & ALU EMS platforms within network to meet growth.
  • Senior Engineer with strong technical skills.  Primarily responsible for design, engineering, and deployment of Element Management Systems (EMS) within network.
  • Applies the necessary tools and engineering principles to create and design the network infrastructure in accordance with approved guidelines.  Acts independently with general direction to perform a variety of engineering duties to implement and deploy new EMS nodes in to the network.
  • Work with cross functional teams to communicate the engineering design plan in support of the development and deployment of network plans, upgrades and enhancements.
  • Develop data networking solutions which comply with existing standards.  Work with new architectures and product introduction to make them standard implemented solutions in the network.
  • Assist other Network Engineering teams in the analysis and diagnosis of problems.  Coordinates and interfaces with internal and external customers to ensure service commitments are met.  Provide project management and documentation as required.
  • Knowledge- Subject matter expert within own discipline/specialty area and basic knowledge of other disciplines/specialty areas. Deep technical knowledge.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards and processes to work.  Integrates industry experience and deep professional/technical knowledge.
  • Technical leader and recognized expert on select technologies, systems and/or procedures.  Analysis and Problem Solving- Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment and precedent.
  • Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues and develops new concepts, methods and techniques for cross functional initiatives.  Recognizes and pursues alternative methods.

Qualifications

Required Skills: 

  • Very good communication skills and ability to work with people.
  • Familiarity with processes and tools eg IWOS, Granite, CTS, Oracle11i RNF, etc.
  • Bachelor degree from four-year college/university, preferably in Engineering/Math/Computer Science.  Masters degree is a plus.  Requires 7+ years Network Engineering experience or related. CCNA preferred.
  • Good experience in Microsoft Office Suite to include excellent skills Excel, PowerPoint and Visio Working knowledge in telecommunication networks topology and network connectivity.  Experience in wireless technology (2G, 3G/UMTS, LTE wireless design).  Strong working knowledge of IP protocols, Cisco Routers, Ericsson OSS, ALU WMS/SAM platforms.
