Service Desk Engineer & Wintel Architect

Job Description
This person will be responsible for providing architectural, administration and support responsibilities for the global Wintel environment including, but not limited to Windows AD, Exchange, Citrix, VMWare and SQL Server.  This include providing desktop end user support as well as server and Back Office infrastructure support. This individual will provide guidance for processes and procedures across the Wintel environment, provide project leadership and be a Wintel SME. Additional responsibilities include ensuring that systems are managed per established service level agreements as well as interfacing with network and systems engineering and business application development groups to provide direction and technical vision on implementation of Wintel related tools. Support for global deployment will require off-hours support across multiple time zones.

Job Responsibilities
Setup, monitor and support over Windows OS and hardware
Administer Windows Active Directory, Exchange Servers and mail connectors in an international multi-site environment
Administer VMWare and Citrix farms
Develop and maintain procedures and processes needed to administer an international AD Exchange and network deployment
Design support and maintain core network services like DHCP, DNS, WINS in Active Directory environment
Provide technical leadership and management of data center, backup and disaster recovery of supported systems
Develop and maintain documentation of infrastructure deployed to support AD, Exchange, Citrix and VMWare environment and associated applications
Adhere to IT access-management and change control procedures
Familiarity with various solutions for Backup,  Antivirus, VPN, Firewall, etc is a huge plus
Respond to alerts from MOM 2005 and higher
Receive and respond to tickets for Desktop and field support
Escalate issues to management, if necessary
Collaborate with team members and mentor junior staff to execute the IT strategy in a cost effective and timely manner
Basic understanding of SQL and Oracle database environments
Stay abreast of industry best practices in risk management techniques and integrate new method and tools as appropriate

Technical Requirements
Proven experience managing a large scale enterprise, Exchange, Windows Server, Active Directory and networking infrastructure
5-7+ years experience administering MS Exchange Server
5-7+ years experience administering and supporting Active Directory, Exchange, Networking and related technical infrastructure
5-7+ years experience administration experience
with Citrix and VMWare MCSE Certification is a plus
Extensive knowledge and experience of email environments including anti-virus, spam and remote access
Extensive knowledge and experience with performance tuning and monitoring
Must have subject matter expertise of systems administration in large-scale Windows Active Directory, and Exchange implementations
Experience with MS Windows Server, Exchange Server and TCP/IP is essential
Working technical knowledge of current messaging systems software, protocols, and standards, including Exchange , Sendmail, SMTP, POP, IMAP, LDAP
Experience with Disaster Recover Experience with Exchange 2003.
