Description
Senior Java Developer needed for a profitable division of a fast-growing $400 million healthcare software/SaaS services corporation having a development facility in the RTP Area of North Carolina. This position starts with a 3 to 6 month contract and then is scheduled to convert to be a PERMANENT FULL-TIME position on a team performing NEW DEVELOPMENT on a large pipeline of Java/Oracle based software products. The successful candidate must be a team player, self-motivated, can work autonomously, and be able to make an immediate contribution to end to end application development of this profitable high value web application suite. Write robust, efficient and maintainable code and mentor junior programmers to do the same. Analyze requirements and provide reliable estimates. Work closely with the architect to coordinate and lead software design activities. Work within a structured development environment that includes version control, automated unit testing, test driven development, continuous build, feature analysis and design reviews, code reviews, and use of a task management system to track status. Ensure that development processes and standards are being followed and met. This is an open, collaborative, agile development environment. Candidates must have a passion for customer satisfaction and a strong desire to learn and remain current on a wide range of development technologies.
Required Skills/Attributes:
- Java 7+ years of experience
- SQL and a strong knowledge of Oracle
- JavaScript
- Dojo (or similar)

- JUnit or similar unit testing skills - must be proficient in test driven development
