Our client is looking for a marketing communications contractor to take responsibility for the development and implementation of the UK marketing communications (marcomms) plan, working with the marcomms leader for Europe and the UK strategic marketing leader. The activities will include the full range of marketing activities from PR, direct marketing and conferences to sales support activities including sales collateral, road-shows, telemarketing and lead generation. We are looking for an experienced individual who can contribute to the strategy development process, will be innovative in development of new marcomms approaches and will follow through with the detail of implementation of planned activities to ensure that marcomms has a positive and tangible impact on the bottom line.

1) Support the development of the UK marketing communication (marcomms) strategy and plan in line with priorities identified in the UK marketing strategy and the Europe marcomms strategy.
2) Act as a consultant in all aspects of marcomms ensuring that the marcomms activities in the UK are aligned to the respective marcomms plans, that budgets are respected and that metrics are in place to measure success and ROI.
3) Propose innovative and best practice communication vehicles in the UK in order to strive towards a higher level of competitiveness in terms of communication.
4) Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders with regard to strategy and plan.

1) Implement the agreed UK marcomms plan in close collaboration with the Europe MarComm Leader, the UK Regional Marketing Leader and the UK Sales Leader.
2) Use the approved contractors and agencies in Europe and the global Honeywell marcomms centre in India for the drafting of collateral, event design, graphics, etc.
3) Deliver individual marketing events and activities, personally ensuring all internal and external planning, approval and administrative details are completed.

Project Planning and Management
1) Project-manage different projects (usually in the UK but possibly also supporting Europe projects) ensuring adequate budgeting and metrics.
2) Compile and analyze activities' spend, compare them to the forecasts and report back in a timely manner. Ensure that all inconsistencies are recorded and solutions found.
3) Provide an analysis with recommendations for any new marcomms opportunities that may arise in the plan period.

Participation in meetings/networking
1) Work with local district leadership and sales teams on events and initiatives to gather information and represent the views of marcomms
2) Build a relationship of trust between district leadership/sales teams and the marcomms team to receive relevant information on sales/wins etc. first hand; create and foster active networks and to nurture a culture of dialogue and exchange
3) Be an active part of the Europe marcomms team and participate in regular meetings/trainings/calls as required.

Knowledge and skills
* Hands-on marketing communications professional
* Experience in services, construction or engineering businesses
* Very good organizer and project manager willing to 'roll-up the sleeves' for implementing tactical aspects
* Proactive 'self-starter' with strong multi-tasking and time management skills
. Very good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to translate complex propositions into simple messages
* Experienced and at ease in a fast changing, international, multicultural environment
