Description
We require a Senior C++ Engineer for a six month contract rolling contract.
NB: ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK FREELY IN IRELAND AS THIS POSITION IS BASED IN DUBLIN.
If you are comfortable with the following questions we would love to hear from you:
- Have you developed software in a Unix environment?
- Are you familiar with Pthreads API and synchronisation techniques?
- Have you worked on systems that are highly transactional & scalable?
- Have you ever done troubleshooting or analysis work with any of the following: dbx, mdb, gdb, pstack and pmap ?
- Do you have a good understanding of core files and how to interpret them?
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Software Development in a UNIX Environment
Developing Multi-Threaded applications in C++ using modern design techniques
Java Development is advantageous
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
JEE Development
Database Development Experience, SQL and or PL/SQL
GWT, Richfaces GUI Technologies
Telecoms Applications Development
Agile Development Skills with Test Driven Development
ADDITIONAL TELECOM SKILLS
Knowledge of OSS and BSS in Telecoms
Knowledge of Protocols such as Diameter
Knowledge of Online Charging, Rating or Balance Management applications
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a Science area or equivalent experience, and a minimum 4-year to 6-years industry experience
