We requirean Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's large organisation based in Sydney to implement, support, and to maintain business systems with the organisations enterprise environment. To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in Enterprise Systems, Citrix, XenApp, MCSE, SCCM, Sharepoint, Exchange, network support, Infrastructure Services, File Servers, Active Directory, Administration, Linux, Red hat

KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Maintain, support, implement, and administer all application services within the business systems such as, Citrix, SCCM, CMS, SharePoint, Support works, Exchange and File Servers.
  • Maintain, support, implement, and administer all infrastructure services within the business systems such as Active Directory, Exchange, Networking, & policies
  • To make sure all business services are protected from unauthorized access.
  • Implement and maintain the required data protection tools such as anti-virus on desktops, laptops and Servers including the latest updates.
  • Identify, test, rollout, and monitoring of updates, patches and security releases across all enterprise platforms.
  • To log all incidents, requests, and change requests using approved method.
  • To action all incidents escalated to the Enterprise team within the SLA.
  • To maintain the agreed service levels across the core services and applications.
  • Coordinate & communicate with the rest of the IT team with updates and changes.
  • To work with & backup the Support desk team & follow best practices.
  • To monitor all core services and respond to any alerts.
  • To carry out trend analysis and capacity planning on key services with documented recommendations to the line manager.
  • Evaluate and test new technologies where approved by line manager.
  • Backup restoration & Disaster Recovery implementation and testing.
  • Security Administration and Auditing

KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ideally Qualified to Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
  • Unix/Linux qualification. Will be highly regarded
  • Skilled within a Citrix XenApp environment
  • Good skills in MS Windows 2003 Server,Exchange 2007, XP & Windows 7
  • Hardware & Peripherals such as HPServers, MFD- Build, Configuration, RAID.
  • Networking - VPN, DHCP, DNS, Local, and Wide Area, IP Telephony, CCNA ideally
  • Backup Technologies - Sepaton Virtual Tape Library, NetApp, Legato, Backup Exec
  • Sophos - Enterprise Anti-Virus Management
  • Microsoft SQL Server administration skills would be an advantage
  • Virtualization skills - Vmware VCP highly recommended
  • Blackberry Enterprise Services background would be good but not essential.
  • SAN Skills - SAN
