Anteo Group has a client with an immediate need for a Sr. Java Developer in Alpharetta, GA. As a Sr. Java Developer, you will play an integral part in an enterprise-level initiative. This will be an initial 6 month project, looking to start as soon as possible. Our client is in the process of revamping an existing application, and is looking for a Senior Java Developer to not only help code on a day to day basis, but also help with technology evaluations and help making appropriate recommendations as well.
Responsibilities
Assist in development/maintenance of software specifications utilizing design constructs and standards.
Interact with business analysts to understand business requirements and translate these into technical designs.
Interact with production support personnel to ensure that critical and major production issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Provide technical support and take technical direction from project lead.
Perform design and code reviews with peers.
Self-motivated, detail oriented, multi-tasking, and highly responsive.
5+ years Java and J2EE
5+ years Web service implementation and integration
5+ years HTML, JavaScript, XML
5+ years full life cycle development
5+ years designing and implementing Java applications
Experience with SQL and database technologies
Good working knowledge in SOA architecture using Web Services and SOAP.
Experience with Client Server development.
Familiarity with OO principles
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
