The Citrix Systems Administrator is responsible for management, analysis, design, and development of the Microsoft Windows & Citrix systems. This position will provide technical support and maintenance for all Windows based Intel systems of the Client's Global Systems environment. The Citrix Systems Administrator will also be the 3rd level support of the Citrix environment and work to resolve any issues and problems with the system. Knowledge of the Citrix XenApp server and Netscaler is required. This position has a strong emphasis on enterprise system support and maintenance. The responsibilities outlined below must be performed with a minimum amount of supervision.

Independently manage small to mid size projects through completion.
Develop and maintain project plans for small to mid size projects.
Communicate effectively with all areas of IT and customers.
Make presentations to IT team and management.
Determine level of involvement required of customers and IT resources to resolve problems.
Execute established processes & procedures for managing & maintaining the enterprise environment.
Support work for projects and daily server administration tasks.
Define user requirements or technical specifications small to mid size projects.
Prepare planning estimates for small to mid size projects.
Prepare and execute acceptance test plans for small to mid size projects.
Prepare and execute contingency plans for small to mid size projects.
Ability to work effectively with team members & customers.
Collaborate with the team for quality and comprehensiveness on tasks & projects.
Provide oral and written status reports to IT management and customers.
Develop and maintain positive business relationships with team members, customers, & and vendors.
Lead scheduled work for self on assigned projects.
Identify and resolve technical and business issues, escalate issues when appropriate.
50% 1. Independently and collaboratively manage, support & maintain all Intel systems & enterprise IT projects through completion.
20% 2. Identify and resolve technical and business issues leveraging your experience and support team and escalate issues when appropriate.
10% 3. Develop and maintain proposals and project plans for small to mid size projects.
10% 4. Schedule work for self and others on projects
10% 5. Prepare & provide oral and written status reports to IT management and customers.

Knowledge of specific system concepts (Windows and Linux).

Experience with the following technologies:

  • Microsoft Windows Server NT/
  • Citrix/Xen App server/Netscaler VPX
  • Linux (not required)
  • Monitoring solutions from CA Spectrum/eHealth
  • Systems management solutions for the Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Virtualization solutions from VMware.
  • Experience in a large corporate global server environment is preferred.
  • Experience with various file services.
  • File service and System concepts.
  • Strong PC and System hardware experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows server 2000, 2003 & 2008, and Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge of:

  • Experience with IT processes using ITIL 2.0 & 3.0 best practices experience
  • Proficient Systems analysis and design to include Windows server, Citrix XenApp & Netscaler.
  • Server hardware and system concepts.
  • Previous experience in a Server/Systems production environment. Able to setup & install server hardware & OS, including patching Servers to the network in the data center.
  • Multi-segmented networks, DMZs and system communication and service delivery through Firewalls and VPNs.

Skill In:

  • Strong interpersonal skills are required. Ability to work effectively with team members & customers and other areas of the IT environment.
  • Strong written and oral communications.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities, strong decision making skills and make sound judgment decisions.

Ability To:

  • Work effectively with team members, clients and other areas of IT.
  • Handle multiple tasks and be flexible in a fast paced environment.
  • Collaborate with team members on system projects, tasks or issues.
