Work as part of a technical support team delivering a quality service to single/multiple clients using a variety of hardware and software products
Provide technical support & maintenance of production and development systems and administration of environments, running on various platforms, ensuring SLA targets are met
Provide expertise on system performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintenance patching and new version installation
Provide ongoing management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of a technical infrastructure (eg information systems, security, telecommunications networks, etc.).
Deploy standard repeatable build outs
Manage relationship with application vendors and ensure they are meeting all service levels and responsibilities
Good communication skills (written and verbal) - this is a client facing role.
Web dev, web application or web testing skills.
1 year Amazon Web Services (eg EC2, S3) preferred
Previous client facing work experience (eg user training)
Trained in using issue/bug tracking software and writing good defect descriptions, preferably Jira
Basic Linux skills (ssh, bash Scripting, FTP, restarting services)
Apache Web Server experience, including redirects and rewrites rules (eg strong regex skills) a plus
Experience in SEO and web analytics data (eg Google analytics, Omniture) preferred
Experience working in an agile software development team producing web applications
Spanish or Portuguese language would be preferred
The applicant will need both technical and functional skills in the field of web application development. They will need a working functional knowledge of how web applications are built and maintained. Experience in writing and executing test scripts and plans will be required. For the systems ops support experience in using the Linux command line and writing Apache configurations (eg rewrites, redirects, bash Scripting) will be required. Experience in using the AWS EC2 cloud environment is preferable. They also need to be an excellent client facing communicator, driving for the needs of the Latin team to be met, and the client expectations managed.
Responsibilities include:
Test the output of the local sprint cell, preparing and executing test scripts and preparing test data
Raising and testing issues in issue tracking software, ensuring they have good detail for successful defect analysis
Tracking test execution status, reporting status and escalating risks and issues
Manage client-facing UAT, deliver new feature training
Becoming a functional expert in the CMS tools and supporting application end users with ad hoc questions
Liaise with developers to ensure timely and accurate fixes
Assisting with deployments of HTML/CSS/JESS onto web Servers and restarting applications
