Volt are currently recruiting on behalf of a global publishing organisation based in Oxford for a Finance Analyst.
Provide financial support for consolidating, analysing, and reporting on the expense and performance of the RE Technology Division.
Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and provide monthly reporting and variance analysis for capital and non-capital expenditures.
Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required by the management team
Responsibilities:
* Consolidate budget, forecast and actual expenditures across multiple worldwide organizations.
* Prepare financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
* Review costs and perform cost benefit analysis related to projects and programs.
* Develop presentations to communicate actual and projected performance to all levels of management
* Analyze and report on charge backs and allocations to the business.
* Use various software applications, including spreadsheets, databases, statistical packages, and graphics programs to consolidate, manipulate, and present information.
* Prepare and present monthly performance review package.
* Ensure that financial transactions and events are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
* Identify and communicate opportunities for cost and performance improvement.
Qualifications and Competencies:
* Financial analysis experience, preferably in a large corporation
* Advanced capabilities using advanced features of Excel. Experience of, Hyperion and Oracle would also be an advantage
* Proven record of producing accurate, timely, and useful financial/performance reporting
* Strong communication and skills
* IT Finance experience preferable
* Qualified Accountant (ACMA preferred)
