Next Ventures are currently looking for a POS delivery manager to lead a project team on a huge programme in Copenhagen.The role:
Delivery Manager/Release Manager
Level Senior
In Clients Application management assignment in the area of Communicating & Selling and Retail Mgmt there is a need for a combined Delivery Manager and a Release Manager in the Payments area (POS applications). The POS systems are used globally in The clients IT projects. Some systems are developed by 3rd party vendors.
Delivery Mgr responsibilities:
Reports to Service Delivery Manager on the Service Area
Responsible for Application Management within the Service Area
Liaise with clients Service Owner
Participate in Monthly Operational Meeting
Ensure the processes are followed within the Application Team(s)
Define Release Take On approach along with end client.
Ensure Resources are requested and deployed to provide the service to client
Ensure Service Levels are met within the Service Area
Secure deliveries according to agreed goals, defined strategies and forecast.
Set directions and goals related to the Service Area.
Define the competence and capacity required for current and future needs
Accountable for Reporting to end client and Consulting Partner Management
Approve Root cause analysis, preventive and corrective actions
Responsible for Continuous Improvement for the Service Area
Release Mgmt responsibilities:
Reports to Delivery Manager for the Application Area
Overall responsible for managing the release.
Plan and Coordinate the release related activities.
The Release Manager also acts as quality assurance for the release.
Assist clients Release Manager in planning release cycles
Ensure the latest Release Plan and changes are available with the teams
Keep track of the releases in the application area
Ensure releases according the release plan established
Participate in CAB meetings and provide expert advise on Releases
Coordinates with Internal teams and client deployment team on releases pertaining to the application area
Accountable for accurate reporting on releases
Liaise with SLF Leads and BD lead to align and integrate releases.
Skills needed:
- Experienced in leadership
- Good in multi tasking
- Experience in application management assignments or project management assignments for large projects
- Structured and organized
- Good communicator
- Have strong convictions how to optimize deliveries along with good listening skills
Must have strong skills and knowledge of Calypso & POS, Retail IT systems .
