A leading Law firm is urgently seeking a Commercial Accounting Analyst to start immediately in an initial 3 month temporary contract paying up to £20 per hour. This role is key in ensuring that they monthly accounts for Business Services are produced accurately and on time and are fully understood. The role is also key to supporting the Business Service Directors, particularly in helping them manage their budgets, forecasts and spend to date including identification of risks and opportunities to deliver cost efficiency.

True understanding of cost drivers within the functional areas. Ability to forecast accurately and understand impact of actions on cost base. Understanding of key commercial contracts within the responsible areas. Accurate workings to support reported numbers. Related balance sheet areas kept up to date and controlled.
Responsible for understanding and helping drive financial performance within the areas of responsibility. Key outputs will be rigorous analysis of spend areas including the understanding of key cost drivers and trends, accurate forecasting including the identification of risks against budget as well as opportunities for cost efficiency. Budgeting including formulation of plans to drive cost efficiency. Monthly account production including accurate formulation of accruals & prepayments.
Qualified accountant with demonstrable experience in a commercial role whilst also being able to produce monthly accounts to tight deadlines, with a good understanding of preparation of accruals, prepayments and variance analysis. Good computer literacy, attention to detail and strong time management skills are essential.

You must be able to converse with non-financial people at a senior level.
Proven experience of working within a team, with the ability to communicate at all levels and influence and persuade accordingly.

Must be a self motivated individual with the energy, enthusiasm and commitment required to meet deadlines and implement change where necessary.
