A new opportunity has come available for SAS Solution Architect to join an exiting project with one of our prestigious clients in the Middle East.
The project is an application of advanced analytics and data mining in Oil & Gas upstream engineering domain to enhance the integrity and reliability of oil & gas facilities. SAS candidates are expected to work with Client engineers and operators to understand the issues, the engineering process, the process P&IDs, sensor data and interpretation of this data. SAS team should be familiar with O&G tools & technologies to enable them to interact with client to understand the business issues rather than learning the technologies.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating SAS Solution architecture with different disciplines (Information, Application, Integration, and Infrastructure Architecture) but Application Architecture is the Primary. The resource should have knowledge in SAS Programming, SAS DI Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Minter, SAS Enterprise BI, Portal Technologies (Microsoft Sharepoint, IBM WebSphere Portal), Application Servers (Jboss, WebSphere, etc), Middleware (ETL, EAI) technologies and SOA, Custom Applications (Java, Adobe Flex programming), Oracle Database, Oracle Energy Components, OCI Soft PI.
The candidate should have excellent business analysis skills to understand, define, document the problem, analyze it and present the results to customers in English Language. Architecture certification is preferable.
Industry Skills: knowledge in Oil & Gas industry, or Engineering and supply chain.
Although the client is based in the Middle East, the candidate will have the flexibility to work from home with 30% of the time travelling to the region to meet clients and managers.
