Work With one of the world's leading Financial Services firms, located in downtown Boston, convenient to public transportation! Client is in the process of distributing it's workforce globally to facilitate client proximity, and wishes to build a new tool to track and measure Strategic Workforce Planning activities and results.

The Client's Corporate Technology Group's Program Management Office (PMO) is seeking an IT professional to design and develop an interim workforce data management solution for use by the CTG PMO and CTG senior management.

This individual will report to the CTG PMO Project Manager and work closely with fellow CTG team members to define, develop, and implement a solution which support strategic workforce decision making at every level and enable effective execution of CTG workforce transitions

Candidate will be responsible for analysing requirements, designing, developing, and testing database software components as well as reports and dashboard components for the PMO Workforce Data Management solution. Develop supporting technical documentation and ensure deliverables meet end user requirements.

Analyze user requirements and use cases and translate into technical requirements

Technical design and development of database modules and components such as interfaces to data source systems

Coding, code reviews, and unit testing

Create Technical Documentation

Manage workload effectively to meet timelines with good quality

Provide prompt and proactive status updates on assigned activities

Must have a good understanding of SDLC processes; preferably Agile

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

(What skills/experiences must this person have to even be considered?)

5 to 7 years development experience, with at least 1 year of development using Agile practices

Must be a good team player, self- motivated, possessing good interpersonal communication skills.

Good analytical and problem solving & documentation skills

Good knowledge of RDBMS Concepts, Oracle SQL/PL/SQL

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic, and Access databases

Experience with technical documentation (eg Technical design documents, release documentation)

Experience with source control tools such as Clear Case

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED

(including team oriented, managerial skills, etc.)

Previous experience with Agile Project Management Tool; ie Rational Team Concert (RTC)

Familiarity with report design and development tools such as OBIEE or Crystal

Understanding of PMO, Human Resources, or Finance business domains is helpful but not required.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
