Compliance Analyst

The Business Management Office (BMO) Business Consultant works in the IT Compliance (ITC) organization led by client IT Compliance Officer. As a member of the BMO team you will report to the Business Management Office supporting IT Compliance Leadership teams to coordinate and assist in activities related to day to day business operations.

This position reports to the Manager of the IT Compliance Business Management Office.

Essential Functions:
Manage and provide support and analysis of Core IT Compliance departmental Budgets.
Assist managers in IT Compliance with metrics consolidation and reporting requirements for use by VP/IT Compliance Officer.
Assist BMO Manager with day-to-day support in processes and workflows.
Propose alternative solutions to identified gaps and obstacles in current reporting processes.
Partner with Financial Analysts to compile monthly statements reporting actuals verses forecasted and budgeted dollars.
Oversee time reporting structure for IT Compliance.
Assist with ad hoc reporting requirements for IT Compliance oversight.
Develop and maintain document library and other shared files and repositories as needed.
Participate in meetings and assist in capturing minutes and distributing transcripts and action items as needed.
Prepare accurate reports and/or presentations from verbal and/or written directions.
Develop and/or modify organizational charts, spreadsheets and/or presentation materials as requested by Business Management Office.
Assist with staff and contractors embark/disembark process.
Support organizational change related activities.
Support the internal Strategic Planning Process, including refreshing goals, strategies and roadmaps as well as providing management with visibility on progress made against strategic imperatives and programs.
Assist in creating and modifying communication plans, white papers, presentation decks and supporting materials to communicate and account for IT Compliance imperatives, compliance risks and opportunities.
Assist in maintaining ITC Departmental Communication plans.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 8 years experience in Business Consulting with significant financial responsibility.
Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Must have a working knowledge of databases and report generation.
Must have good communication and planning skills, be detail oriented, well organized, problem solving/analytical, self-directed, team focused, and results driven.
Strong client relationship focus and experience working with Executive Level staff/leadership.
Partner strategically across areas, entities, and functions to achieve long-term performance and organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Lotus Notes, MS Sharepoint and MS Access.
Background in financial processes including general ledgers, invoice management, variance analysis, budgets and forecasting.
Proficiency in Cognos, Peoplesoft (OneLink), K-People, Organization Hierarchy, Visio, Ariba, RPM, MS Publisher.
Location: Oakland, CA (with regular travel to Pleasanton, CA)

Work Environment:
Fast-paced office environment working with the Vice President of IT Compliance
