Our client is a super high-visibility computer components brand seeking Techs to conduct evaluation for network storage software, network and SAN configuration, and defect troubleshooting. We are specifically looking for a candidate that has experience in storage area networking validation (SAN). This may include FCOE or iSCSI experience as well as overall SAN management. SAN management will require installation and configuration storage targets, high bandwidth adapters (HBA), and storage Servers.

OVERVIEW:

  • Running scripted and ad-hoc test plans
  • Maintaining test environment,
  • Interacting with Development to ensure quality
  • Network and SAN configuration

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Operating Systems from Windows 2000 to current
  • Proficiency in Linux Operating systems including RedHat, Suse, SLES and/or latest Linux Kernel
  • Proficiency in Network and SAN administration in both a Windows and Linux environment
  • Network switch configuration
  • Excellent English writing skills and good verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of Network Test tools, eg NTTTCP, NetPerf, iPerf Chariot, etc.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with the following companies or their products: EMC, Brocade, Emulex, QLogic, IBM/HP storage
  • Experience with Network protocol analyzers (packet Sniffer), including Network General Sniffer, Finisar, or Wireshark
  • Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI), PCI-E*, PCI-x* skills
  • Perl, Ruby, TCL, Bash, WMI, VB, and/or Windows batch and command Shell Scripting
  • MCSE, CCNA, CCNE, A+ certification
